ADC gold for design graduate Max Bartram

June 22, 2021

Congratulations to our design graduate Max Bartram, who was awarded gold in the category “Final Theses” at the ADC Talent Award 2021 with his bachelor thesis “Why so panicky?”.

On 86 pages, Max Bartram’s bachelor thesis (subject: B.A. Graphic Design and Visual Communication, supervisors: Prof. Rasmus Giesel and illustrator Kati Szilágyi) deals with the sensitive topic of panic attacks and wants to contribute to counteracting the stigmatization of anxiety disorders as well as those affected by them.

Firstly, the book aims to provide useful information for those affected and to give them the feeling of being understood. But it also wants to give people who are not familiar with the subject a general overview, without being too technical and long-winded in its communication. With his humorous but at the same time serious illustrations, Max Bartram has definitely succeeded in making the viewers both think about and sensitize them to this serious topic. We congratulate him on the ADC Golden Nail and wish him all the best and much success for the future!
