Media University design department leads the ADC creative ranking of Berlin design schools in 2021
The Art Directors Club for Germany (ADC) recently published its annual university ranking, which lists the most successful design universities. Media University landed a place at the top of the ranking for Berlin.
Last year, Media University students (B.A. Graphic Design and Visual Communication) impressed the critical jury at the ADC Talent Award with their works. For example, Max Bartram’s work “Why so panicky?” was even honored with gold. The work uses a vibrant illustration style to help destigmatize anxiety disorders. In his bachelor thesis, Daniel Schreck dealt with the redesign process of city brands and developed a rebranding concept for the city of Leipzig. He was awarded bronze for his thesis at the ADC Talent Award.
“It is of course gratifying to observe that our work is bearing fruit. Especially since the awarded works have dealt with complex and socially relevant issues. And we will continue to promote a critical attitude among our students and motivate them to act courageously in the future. This results in exciting projects and plenty of material for discussion,” states Prof. Rasmus Giesel, professor in the Design Department at Berlin Campus.
