This June, three members of Media University Berlin’s Management and Business Studies department attended the annual conference in Warsaw in order to present their current research.
Department head Prof. Dr. Thomas Petzold gave a talk on the topic “The Matchmaking of Knowledge Bits and Its Impact on Media Companies and Societies”. Prof. Dr. Ingo Knuth gave a joint presentation along with Prof. Dr. Christian-Mathias Wellbrock (University of Cologne) and Dr. Andreas Golze (Tourism Australia) on “The Impact of Trust and Culture on Success in Advertising Selling”. Research Associate Justin Reichelt presented her research study “The Impact of Opinion Leadership on Technology Acceptance and Use of Online Services Among Silver Surfers” alongside her Media University colleagues.
The non-profit organization European Media Management Association (emma) was founded in 2003 with the goal to promote media management research on an international level. The focus of this year’s conference lay on media management in the age of big data and high tech.
