Everything in motion: Virtual Motion & Design Conference at Media University Berlin

February 8, 2021

An afternoon full of creative input from the world of motion design: This is what Media University students were able to experience last Friday. At the virtual Motion & Design Conference, guests spoke about their practical experiences, their projects, and were open to answer any kind of questions.

At the beginning, Media University alumni Lynn Huberty and Tobias Peil (both former B.A. Graphic Design and Visual Communication) gave first-hand accounts of their studies and current freelance projects. Huberty presented her bachelor project, the 3D animated short film “Shyāma”, which has already successfully screened at countless short film festivals as well as being her ticket into the professional world of motion design.

Tobias Peil also presented his most important works to date and gave a very vivid account of his career entry, internships as well as his personal path to freelancing. How do I create a showreel that makes an impression on potential clients? And how do I set the course for a later career in motion design during my studies? In his presentation, Tobias Peil placed great emphasis on giving aspiring graphic and motion designers valuable tips and answering questions from the virtual audience.
