Media University’s first Master Alumni
With Laura Langer, Maria Ruiz Hernandez, Kira Romashko, Felix Haase, and Elyana Nikizad, Media University honors its first Master graduates.
Having graduated in M.A. Convergent Journalism at Campus Berlin, the five form the group of “Master Pioneers” – the first of their kind at Media University. Both sides have learned from one another in the last two years.
In addition to the individual support of the students through the university in general and the Department of Journalism and Communication in particular, an understanding of the special interests and needs of Master students became more apparent. Today, people from roughly 25 countries study at Media University Berlin.
One of the highlights of the course was a trip to Brussels – to the “engine room” of the European Union. The students were able to establish useful professional contacts as well as strengthening the ties within their own small group that have now made Media University history. Last but not least: All five have already had an excellent start into their professional lives, e.g. in broadcasting or in the advertising industry. Elyana Nikizad works for Deutsche Welle in Bonn, Felix Haase until recently worked at Bundestag and Kira Romashko has started a job in E-learning.
