Public exhibition of Media University graphic design students’ work
Graphic design students and their professor from Media University Cologne visited the the world’s most important fair for the print and digital content business, the Frankfurter Buchmesse, where their top ten shortlist competition drafts were exhibited.
For more than ten years, the Frankfurter Buchmesse has been annually organizing a competition for young designers with the aim to welcome the fair’s Guest of Honor in a creative way. Prof. Felix Thomas and his students from the Design department of Media University Cologne took part in the competition for this year’s Guest of Honor Georgia. Out of almost 300 contributions from 20 colleges in Germany and Switzerland, two drafts of Media University students made it into the top ten shortlist.
Last week, the two students of the study program B.A. Graphic Design and Visual Communication and their professor happily accepted the invitation of the competition’s organizer and visited the book fair in Frankfurt. They found their drafts at the competition’s booth printed on posters and postcards. On Friday afternoon, the awardees together with the members of the jury and the representatives of the competition partners celebrated at the exhibition booth and during the get-together at Georgia’s pavilion.
