Summer School Constructive Journalism
Spend a summer in one of Europe’s most exciting cities and learn about journalism that makes a difference. Apply now for the Media University Summer School on Constructive Journalism taking place July 2-20, 2018 at our Berlin campus.
Constructive Journalism is a novel approach to covering news stories. It provides greater context, focuses on solutions and reports on problems in more constructive ways. It does so through a combination of rigorous reporting and empirical findings from psychology and communications science. The goal: to engage and empower news audiences. And to counter the crisis-focus and negativity that has come to dominate much of the mass media’s news coverage.
Media University’s 3-week intensive course introduces students to the concepts of Constructive Journalism and offers them the opportunity to produce their own constructive journalism stories. The program is taught in English and intended for students with a keen interest in journalism as well as journalism professionals.
This Summer School is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of this new trend in journalism, to team up with curious young people from all over the world and to have a lot of fun in one of Europe‘s most exciting cities. Come to Berlin and help make journalism great again!
