Virtual farewell: Take care, dear alumni!
On Saturday, numerous Media University Berlin graduates were given a ceremonial farewell by the university management, department heads and lecturers during a virtual graduation ceremony.
University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ronald Freytag and Rector Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Schulz referred in their opening speeches to the unusual last year and wished the graduates all the best for their career entry into the dynamic working world. Following an old Media University tradition, the department heads and supervisors also honored the best theses from the departments of journalism and communication, design, management and business studies and psychology.
In a moving speech, journalism alumna Laura Mühlenmeier (now a trainee at DOKfilm Fernsehproduktion GmbH) thanked the university team and especially all those involved in the Talent Campus_Video workshop, which gave her valuable experience for her career entry in the TV industry. Afterwards, there was a celebratory toast to the graduation in front of the screens at home. In breakout sessions, students had the opportunity to talk to fellow students and their lecturers, and to discuss their personal plans after graduation.
We wish our alumni all the best for the future and a good start into their professional life!
