Background
Woitek Konzal is an Emmy-winning freelance producer with extensive experience in delivering innovative, cross-media entertainment projects.
Until April 2015, he was a junior producer at UFA LAB Berlin, where he most recently co-produced the Emmy and BANFF-winning “Dina Foxx – Tödlicher Kontakt”. Other UFA LAB ventures included the 12-part VICE co-production “Munchies,” the multi-award winning transmedia project “RLF,” the YouTube Original Channel “eNtR berlin” and the transmedia book campaign “Ewig Mein.”
Since 2015, Woitek has spent his time hatching and implementing unexpected ideas that have no place in the traditional media industry. For example, the science fiction satire “Dear Mankind” or the six episodes “Smirnoff Sound Collective.”
He also continues to enjoy research, teaching and lecturing of all kinds. Furthermore, in what feels like a distant past and in preparation for all these projects, Woitek first flew to Australia for a few years and thought intensively about art and the Internet. The result was a crisp PhD thesis called “Entertainment Architecture.”
For a relaxing Sunday evening, he recommends http://www.bitly.com/entertainmentarchitecture and a good wine.
