Prof. Dr. Harald Kolrep has been Professor of Media and Business Psychology in the Department of Psychology at the Media University Berlin since 2012. With a background in psychology, computer science and philosophy, Prof. Dr. Harald Kolrep has been working in the field of human-machine interaction for over 20 years. As founder and senior consultant of HFC Human-Factors-Consult GmbH, member of EAAP, European Association for Aviation Psychology and co-editor of the journal “Aviation Psychology and Applied Human Factors” Kolrep is successful at the intersection of research and practice.
In the interaction of people with technology, his research focuses on topics such as user-centered development, automation and safety in various application areas such as software design, video telephony, telecommunications, design of vehicles and driver assistance systems, air traffic control systems, as well as the design and validation of control rooms, for example in power plants and chemical plants.
