News program on “fake news”

On the occasion of the Long Night of Science in June 2021, our Berlin B.A. Media and Event Management students produced a “news program” designed exclusively with fake news.

Overview

The reports are artificially staged. With the satirical program, the students want to illustrate how fake news can be staged and disseminated with simple means in order to motivate a critical approach to the media.
The show was produced as part of a practical seminar under the direction of Prof. Dr. Lorenz Pöllmann in the summer semester 2021.

  • During the broadcast in the Media University TV studio. At the front of the picture: the model of the presenter's desk. The presenters are sitting at a table covered with a green screen, which can no longer be seen in the broadcast image.
  • In the control room of the TV studio, image and sound are mixed together and the green screen areas are replaced by pre-defined graphics.
  • Full concentration: The red ON AIR lamp indicates that recording is in progress.
  • Final light and camera settings before the live stream can start.
