Real project tasks from HEAD
Hands on in media psychology: Students at Media University Frankfurt developed creative communication strategies for a product launch for the well-known sporting goods manufacturer HEAD as part of a cooperation project.
Representatives of the popular sporting goods brand HEAD visited the Media University Frankfurt for the second time. The reason for their visit to Media University lecturer Rüdiger Frankenberger’s course is the upcoming launch of a new product or a new product category in the DACH region. The students on the “Marketing, PR, Advertising” module were given a real-life practical task in this context: the development of a communication strategy for the market launch. After the briefing in October, the time had come in mid-December: following theoretical input from Mr. Frankenberger, the three groups of five to six members each had developed the creative concepts and strategies within a few weeks, which they now presented to HEAD decision-makers in English. Raik Brauns, Director Communication Wintersport, and Graham FitzGerald, ProductManager Wintersport, Rental, Poles & Bags, had traveled from Austria to Frankfurt for the second time specifically for this purpose. A decision will be made before Christmas as to which measures will be taken into account by which group.
We are excited and would like to thank the HEAD project supervisors for their time and the valuable feedback for the students from a practical perspective, as well as the initiator of the collaboration, Katharina Müller, also a student of B.A. Media and Business Psychology at the Media University Frankfurt and currently an intern in the marketing department at the Austrian HEAD headquarters.
