Students start building their online stores

The Berlin students on the B.A. Digital Marketing and E-Commerce course are in the starting blocks for building their own online store. In the last semester, they thought about suitable products, their target group and the most important USPs. They have now presented their first project results online via Zoom.

Overview

With the conception and development of ideas for their store, the students have already mastered a first and important challenge in order to set up a successful online store later on. Be it a thorough market and competition analysis or the analysis of potential buyer groups – especially in this early phase, it is worth doing intensive research and sounding out the potential of your own store within the market environment.

The students demonstrated a great deal of creativity and ingenuity with their business ideas:

  • Trendreview
    Florenz Kunert, Valentin KirschBrand-new designer fashion that provides trendsetters with early information on new, trendy items of clothing before they are released.
    The two see their store primarily as a new platform for all customers interested in designer fashion and plan to expand their community primarily via social networks such as YouTube.
  • Sajaoui
    Katharina Schütt, Emma Allieu, Zahra BerjaouiTrendy unisex fashion for the small purse and every body type. High-quality photos are initially created for the store.

  • Ladekoz
    Anastasiya Rabtsova, Zied Manai, Leonie HübschThe online store for DIY craft boxes is set to gain real momentum with content from popular influencers from the creative industry.
  • Winsects
    Giulia Peitz, Jan-Philipp Westhues, Arne WittelerStore for insect meat. The students see great potential for their business idea, even if some persuasion will still be needed at one point or another.

We are already very excited to see how the online stores, which are now being created with store systems such as Shopify, Wix or WordPress, will develop in the coming semester. Good luck to all students already.
