Can a blog about body positivity stop the beauty craze on social media? What is it like to live with an incurable brain tumor? Does stand-up comedy help to process the tragic death of a child? In their magazine show “Masterminds on mental health,” Media University students in the Master’s program in Digital Journalism ask uncomfortable questions that many would rather remain silent about.

The answers are surprisingly hopeful examples of the courage to break free from stigmas, new will to live and humorous resilience, captured in short portraits that remain close to the protagonists without showing them up. In addition, the magazine uses discussions and explanatory videos to provide context for the trending term “mental health” and follows its development in society and science.
