The study program focuses on:
- the analysis and design of personnel and organizational psychological processes,
- the design of customer relationships under the conditions of digital change and
- the psychological explanation of economic decision-making or innovation processes.
Students acquire comprehensive skills in cutting-edge fields of application in business psychology, such as occupational health management, financial psychology, user experience and entrepreneurship. Methodological skills (qualitative and quantitative procedures) are the intellectual tools for highly qualified professions and are specifically developed during the course.
The Master’s degree in Business Psychology (M.Sc.) can be studied at our Berlin and Frankfurt Main campuses in English (M.Sc. Business Psychology) and at the Media University in Cologne bilingually in German and English.
General elective modules: Empirical social research, media law, business English, converging technological trends, media production, gamification and games for organizations, intercultural leadership skills, media psychology
Subject-specific modules:
Basic modules: Current trends in organizational psychology, business anthropology, occupational health management, decision-making and financial psychology, advanced statistics and research projects
In-depth modules: Marketing and modern market research, user experience and new media, innovation and entrepreneurship, human resource management and organizational development
Four practice-oriented modules
Applicants: Graduates of a general or specialized undergraduate degree (university/university of applied sciences) in psychology or in a business or social science discipline.

There is a growing demand for employees in the field of work and organizational psychology in particular: Recruiter, HR/People Expert, Employer Branding, Organizational/Personnel Developer, Independent Coaching, Consultant, Market Researcher, Media Researcher/Media Effects Researcher, User Experience and Social Media Designer
The Media University also offers a dual Master’s degree in Business Psychology (M.Sc.): The Master’s degree (M.A.) can be achieved in four semesters in a dual-practice-integrated manner. “Dual-practice-integrated” means that students work in a cooperating company parallel to their studies. In addition to imparting theoretical knowledge, practical company projects are integrated into the course. The Media University supports applicants in finding a cooperation company based on its own company network. German language skills at B2 level are required at the time of application to MU (proof of Goethe or Telc language certificate).
If you already have 210 ECTS from your undergraduate studies, you may be able to shorten your studies by one semester.
