Special features: The program combines economic and communication science theories and methods with practice and promotes operational and strategic skills by directly linking current research with business practice.
Skill goal: Enabling students to conduct in-depth economic analysis and to design and implement marketing, strategy and analysis processes in empirical research and practical consulting.
Specialization: lectures and excursions give you insights into the dynamic world of online marketing. Deepen your knowledge in media management, economics, marketing communication, consumer behavior, price and sales management, new media markets and digital transformation, as well as applied market research.
General elective modules: Empirical Social Research, Media Law, Business English, Converging Technological Trends, Media Production, Gamification and Games for Organizations, Intercultural Leadership Skills and Media Psychology

Dual studies: The modules differ slightly due to the increased practical component in the cooperating company.
Applicants: Graduates of an undergraduate general or specialized course of study in an economic or social science discipline.
- A good degree in a general or specialized course of study in economics
- (university/university of applied sciences) or
- A good degree in economics or social science (university/university of applied sciences)
- Proof of acquisition of at least 20 credit points in economics subjects

Target occupations: Marketing in agencies, marketing departments or as a consultant, market research in institutes or as an in-house market researcher, analysis of business processes as an analyst, business intelligence manager or management consultant.
At the Media University, the Master’s program in International Marketing and Media Management is also offered as a dual program: The master’s degree (M.A.) can be achieved in four semesters in a dual-practice-integrating manner. “Dual-practice-integrating” means that students work in a cooperating company parallel to their studies. In addition to teaching theoretical knowledge, practical business. German language skills at B2 level are required at the time of application to MU (proof of Goethe or Telc language certificate).
If you already have 210 ECTS credits from your undergraduate studies, the program can be shortened by one semester.
The Master’s program in International Marketing and Media Management (M.A.) at the Media University is state-approved by the Berlin Senate Administration and accredited by the German Accreditation Council.
