What comes to mind when you think about your studies at Media University?
The jam session during the event week: My first event ever, which I co-organized in the seminar “Practice of Event Industry” by Prof. Dr. Lorenz Pöllmann. On this evening I also played as a DJ for the first time.
You acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Event Management at Media University Berlin. What is your current job position?
I work as a freelance journalist at the club culture magazine Groove and as an editor in content and social media management at ASK HELMUT.
Did you get any further work experiences prior to your current position that you would like to share with us?
Prior to my current job I was an intern and then a working student at Clubcommission Berlin e.V. I implemented the Instagram account and participated in a survey about club culture.
When did you figure out your preferred career path? How much was your choice influenced by the compulsory internship?
There was no exact moment I could indicate. It was more of a process. Two of my fellow students encouraged me to produce music, so I drifted more and more into the music world. Then I wrote more and more papers on music topics, did my mandatory internship in the music industry, until I wrote my bachelor thesis on the scene economy. With this knowledge I then knew what could interest me in the professional world.
